512 MB ATI Mobility FireGL V5700 vs Intel GMA 4500 MHD

Hi. I'm wondering if anyone has any thoughts on the gaming performance of these cards in a laptop.

These are the important specs.

Intel Core 2 Duo T9600 processor at 2.8 GHz
4 GB DDR3 RAM

ATI Mobility FireGL V5000 is based off the X700 Mobility chipset, which puts it in reasonably good gaming company. For gaming it's far better than the 4500 MHD.

Go with the FireGL chip, it'll easily thump Intel's best IGP without breaking a sweat. Intel makes the worst IGPs out there, their sole benefit is their ultra cheap cost.

I have that card in my Lenovo W500, it's an ATI Mobility 3650, which is like a top mid-range mobile card. I'm able to run COD4 on the laptop with something like 1280X960 resolution and settings cranked and runs well. 1680x1050 works well with quality settings lowered a bit. Mine was paired up with a C2D T9400 btw. I haven't tried any other games on the card but I would assume it would work ok with most games.
