50pc 9.5g Clay Poker Set for $7.50 worth it?

They come in different colours, so I was thinking to get 100pc white, 50pc blue and 50pc red.
This would be around $32. But it doesn't have a dealer button, or a metal case.
Is it worth it? Or should I buy one of those clay sets on eBay?

Walmart has a 11.5g 100pc Poker Set with Cards, Dealer Button and Case for around the same price, if not a bit more (Say $35-40).

So I'm thinking the loose chips would be alright considering I've only played 3 times (but more when school starts), and me and the guys are generally new.

We currently have a 100pc plastic poker set.

i bought an 11.5g 500-pc set on ebay for about $36 probably a year ago.

shipping killed the deal: $27

but it's pretty heavy, so the shipping price wasn't outrageous or anything.

May want to check Costco or (of all places) Toys"R"Us.

There have been a few threads in Hot Deals concerning such.

Will do, but since I'm in Canada it's not gonna be as hot either way. I think Costco had something but was much more expensive.. we're just casual players.

are you sure they are clay chips? most clay chips sell for about $1 PER CHIP.

they are probably composite chips if they really are that cheap.

i have this set and it is perfect for my weekly games...

if you are only going to play once a month or less that set should be fine... with 4 guys though you may want to get more than 100 chips. and if you are going back to school don't get anything too expensive, but if you want some good quality playing cards buy some kems. they are the best playing cards around and last for damn near ever. you can even put them in the dishwasher!

I also bought one from Costco, but it was much nicer. I am SURE they are clay chips, they are really heavy in comparison with composite chips I've previously played with.

weight doesn't have anything to do with if they are clay or not. poker chips (clay or composite) come in standard weights. i am not saying you don't have clay chips but i have never seen costco carry clay sets.
