504 Gateway Time-out on doing searches.

Was trying to search in OT, and got a 504 Gateway Time-out.
Tried twice, same results.

OT-specific, for forum-wide? What were the search parameters? Device/OS/Browser? Can this be replicated? I haven't gotten a 504 to show up.

Was only doing OT section, and the term was "Zoo". (Was looking for the Zoo thread).
Tried both FF & Chrome, same results, desktop machines.

@Titillating, just tried it now, and I still get the 504 to show up.

Alright, now I'm able to replicate it. Curious that it only triggers with this particular search term. We'll do some further testing and figure out what's going on. Thanks for letting us know!

It seems all searches are turning up a 504 now. Is anybody else experiencing this?

I tried this section using term "bunker" and it did a 504. So, yeah, seems search is on vacation.

Investigating it now. Looks to be triggered through forum-specific searches.

It don't seem to happen all the time now, which is better than before, but, I still get them.

I'm getting them too. When trying to search only OT and when trying to search from forums.anandtech.com

We're aware that this is still happening. Working on resolving it. Issue has been sporadic and tech has not been able to consistently replicate it, so it's requiring some trial and error.

Going on all night tonight. Tried 5 times in a row... same search term as above, same section.
Poor nginx.
