5003 error....plz help..

I'm getting a 5003 error while trying to run the installation for a game...It comes up after the language selection screen.
 
You need to give a little more info to help solve your problem.

- Game you are trying to install
- Operating System
- Basic decription of hardware in use (Motherboard, Video card, CPU, etc..)

An Event Error 5003 generally means an error with network.
(i.e. LAN card not found or disabled, running Firewall such as Zone Alarm while Installing, etc..)
 
I'm using win xp pro and the game i'm trying to install is beyong good and evil. Here are the sys specs:
2.4b p4
asus p4pe mobo
9500 pro
768mb ddr333

It gives the following error msg:
An error (-5003 : 0x8004ace2) has occured while running the setup.
Please make sure you have finished any previous setup and have closed other applications.
 
I assume you've already tried Google and the game manufacturer website and forum?

This error isn't some common Windows error, it's specific to the game.
 
ye i did...but 2 no avail. Some of them told me to uncheck the read only/hidden options of program files/common files folder but it checks itself later on...
Seems the same problem is there with many other games too...it can b a windows problem.
