Trust me, save it. I am 17, had a job from 14 til about 4 months ago. Only having a grand in my bank account sucks. I wasted soo much money. If i had saved it instead of buying toys, I'd have ~6k now. Save it.
He's 15 man. I doubt if he has a retirement fund

i'm not going to slave my self to money, this may sound niave, but i'm not. i'm going to work purly for art, and get by with just regular jobs anyone with 2 years of liberal arts can do.
TheOasis, just acknowledge that saving the money would be the safest thing to do yet you don't care so we can get on to spending your money.

I wish i had half of what I had. I'd buy a new car, fix my dieing Grand Prix... soo many things. Save it for 2 years.

They're trying to convince you spending $500 on a single item that you don't need isn't a good idea. I'm 16 myself, and I can see where they're coming from. Some teens just don't get it though, I guess..

I got a better idea. donate it to church and become a christian. have you heard of the Pascal Wager? that's the reason you should invest in the eternal life.
