Thanks so much for providing the link: I ordered it.

You're gonna love it. I upgraded my home theater system a few months ago and when everyone was making the same recommendation I was also a little hesitant because I wasn't familiar with SVS either. I ended up ordering the PB-1000 because I'm more of a movie guru. That was probably one of the best investments I made in my life. The tech support is excelllent and the subwoofer is amazing. I've become more addicted to blu rays than i ever was before and I'm having fun watching movies I've already watched but never heard through this sub and it's a whole different experience :)

If you havent yet, check out Master and Commander on blu-ray. The sounds in the movie are just amazing.

Funny, I was planning on purchasing that movie next. Since upgrading, I've purchased these titles which sound amazing with the SVS....Pacific Rim, Hot Fuzz, Cloverfield, Underword Awakening, War of the Worlds, How to Train a Dragon, Transformers Revenge of the Fallen, Planet X

I'd check out Interstellar and Godzilla. Interstellar isn't a super bass movie, but it really will push all aspects of a good home theater. Godzilla is for the bass only.

Is there any sonic reason something cannot sit on top of a subwoofer?

I'm trying to make this as invisible to my wife as possible. There's a small Parsons table that has a small lamp on top of it in the spot where I want to put the sub.

If I move the table I'm hoping I can put the lamp on top of the sub. It's small, but fairly heavy. I doubt it would rattle at all.

I've used my Outlaw LFM-1 as a table between the love seat and sofa for years with no ill effect. If the lamp rattles, move it or place some of that no slip foam under it to help isolate it from the sub surface.

If you havent yet, check out Master and Commander on blu-ray. The sounds in the movie are just amazing.

Great choice.

Nice! I'll probably end up getting both :D. I'm loving the bass. Like the beginning of War of the Worlds when the first alien pod comes out of the ground. Sounds like a real earthquake!
