You all may recall this thread and now, I'll be putting that plan into action. Whether the build is for me or for my sister, it doesn't matter. This is a great build imo.

Edit: Changed the E8400 to a E7200. Total was $660 + tax and shipping and insurance.

Missed your target on the $500 build didn't you 😛. Good choice taking the E8400 down to E7200 imo.

Swap the seagate drive out with the WD Caviar 640: higher data density and much better performance http://www.newegg.com/Product/...x?Item=N82E16822136218

And it's a bit too late....shoulda paid that $5 difference lol. My mom was angry for missing that target.....but hey, at least I sort of meet it thanks to rebates =)

I bought the same power supply from buy.com at the beginning of the year when they had a similiar deal. It has been rock solid and is suprisingly quiet.
