500 free AIM Calling Minutes

Hmmm interesting philosophy they got there.... "So let's say you get 5 of your friends on the phone for a 10 minute call, you'll use up 50 call minutes."

Last time I checked, when I had a conference call I wasn't billed separately for each person I talked to during the conference. 😛 I dunno maybe it's just me but, it just seems kinda dumb to deduct your free minutes in that way.

Why not just set up a Ventrilo, TeamSpeak or RogerWilco server and talk for free with as many people as your bandwidth will support?

that's what i was thinking

I think that if more people knew about software(s) like these, there'd be a LOT more people setting up their own little servers for group chatting.

I don't think you use a mic/headset type setup with this. If you read the last part of the page, it states that you put in your PHONE number and the phone number of everyone else you want in the call then it will dial-out to everyone and their phone will ring.

That's is a very different paradigm... and people don't have to install software or buy headsets with mics.
