he has proved he can make good money legitmately. he has infiltrated shoes, clothes, movies, video games, sports drinks, then of course concert tours, cd sales etc all legitamate. He has many major corporations wrapped around his finger wanting him to sponsor there products and there businesses.

to any extent you are absolutely correct. Alot of it though is kinda like wiping out your competion in business. It doesn't really matter who's on top. Britney Spears & SPice Girls were on top of their industry, that doesn't make them any good.

Don't think 50-cent is running anything. He's Eminem's puppet, plain and simple. Dr. Dre & Eminem control their entire crew, with good reason since those two are the only talented ones there.

what are you arguing here. I listed who was on top of who in descending order. It does matter who is on top because when you are on top yo are the ones making money. Thats what the rap game exists to do. Make money. Your argument that just because they are on top doesnt make them good works the other way to.....it doesnt mean they are not good. I never claimed 50 or gunit was the best and most talented....they have their moments though not talking about the commercial sh1t.

bottomline for me is I listen to what i am in the mood for since it is entertainment...this morning i was listening to CNN - The war report a classic cd released in 1996 that never got much commercial attention but great none the less. Sometimes when I want something more complex I'll throw in the cannibus(poet laureate II is straight fire) or kweli or mosdef etc sometimes Iits not rap at all.....beethoven or tool. Its just entertainment. but 50 and gunit have their own niche in the rap game - 'gangsta rap' and club bangers they are not in the same category as the others and they dont try to be either.

I have yet to play '50Cent - The video game'. What does this involve? Talking about porking "Ho's" from behind and offering your 'Lollypop' for a licking?
