I know it doesn't. I'm not arguing what she did is illegal, I'm arguing what she did should morally be illegal.

Again:

Morality != Law

You can't just say that since you don't morally agree with it, that it should be illegal.

Most people would agree that there was nothing morally wrong with what she did.

Is it?... Interesting I've never said that... Where are you getting your information?

Exactly. Because I live in a society bound by rules. Unlike the rules of war.

And we live in a society based on the rules of Natural law, where defending yourself is perfectly fine.

Actually I can say exactly that, people say it all the time, society is based on a shared sense of morality, and so I can say what i think should be legal or illegal based on my sense of morality.

Most people would agree that there was nothing morally wrong with what she did.

OK.

50-something year old woman can operate a 'super complicated' handgun just fine while being attacked in her home after getting out of the shower

When I first read this I was wondering why she had her handgun with her in the shower. The article makes a bit more sense.

WTF do you think was going to happen then? They were going to sit down for a nice cup of tea?

I don't presume to guess what was going to happen. The last thing I would guess is that they were going to sit down for a nice cup of tea.

And we live in a society based on the rules of Natural law, where defending yourself is perfectly fine.

We also live in a society based on common law, not just natural law. Humans have the capacity to exercise a sense of morality and ethics when acting. Humans have a conscience, other animals do not (as far as I'm aware). We can't just act like other animals in modern society.

Are you going to defend what you're saying? Because if you aren't, this is pretty much just trolling.

Sure I don't think that killing is acceptable except in the rarest of situations, and in order to confirm that this is one of those situations it needs to go before a jury.

To be clear then, you would rather have the woman be raped than the assailant be killed?

Your lack of comprehension on the matter only proves you shouldn't be allowed to handle a lethal weapon.

Yeah I lack comprehension. If that makes you feel better then so be it. Meanwhile the conversation continues as before suggested. Are you going to sidestep again or answer? Will you break into my house if I have a gun and you have a knife?

I seriously doubt you answer honestly if at all.

You don't have the ability to have a jury decide that until it's too late to do so.
