PM me, easy $50 for an hour or two of work - I need someone in Oxnard to help me out...

Edit: Details below, not shady, need to have 4 tires/wheels shipped...

Sorry, I should have been more clear.

I am buying 4 wheels and tires from someone in Cali. Nothing shady - but the shipping costs ($200) are so close to the purchase costs ($300) that I would rather get a 3rd party involved just to verify that everything looks ok.

IE someone to go and pick the wheels up from the seller, verify that they do look more-or-less like the photos he gave me, and put my prepaid shipping labels on them. Because if he were to ship me junk, not only would I be out the $300, I would be out another $200 for shipping that I would not be able to recover.

As far as I know everything is on the up-and-up.

$500 for a $300 set of wheels? Am I missing something? Buy locally for $300?

The wheels and tires are new factory take offs. Factory wheels aren't really worth anything, unless you try to buy them from the factory, in which case they cost $300 each.

The set of tires and wheels, even with shipping, will come out to about the same price as if I had to buy a set of 4 new tires. So if it all goes well I am getting new rims for free.

so you just want someone to inspect the wheels for 50 bucks?

Well, no. For $50, I would like someone to go verify that the wheels are in fact "like new", pick them up, and probably package them. (packaging in this case would involve getting 4 sheets of cardboard and a roll of industrial saran wrap, and wrapping the tires)

I could supply the packing supplies. (or rather spot you the $15 to buy them from u-haul or wherever)

I would have FedEx pick the wheels up from you. Assuming you lived close and were used to shipping, it would be about an hour's worth of work.

btw: Oxnard is quite a shady area.

if I had time i would, since Santa Barbara is not that far off, and I can take a winery tour.
but sorry man, midterms are coming up.
