I can't find this posted. If it was, let me know and I will edit this out.

Best Buy ad in today's newspaper shows Digital Research 50pk 80 min CD-Rs free after rebates.
DRCDR3250S $22.99 less $6.99 instant rebate less $10 MIR less $6 Best Buy MIR. I don't find this item online.

Says no rainchecks. minimum 80 per store. Limit 1 per customer. Good luck!

Did this deal today...not a bad deal for 32x cdr's. Anyone out there know who makes these cd's for digital research?

I did this and the ATI 8500 today and I am so proud.
I have got the rebates sealed in an envelope and stampped already. I got tired of having rebates expire :disgust:😀:|

Finally, a store with a fair "free after rebate" sale....

I bought one at closing, and there were still stacks of them available...

went to my local best buy today and they had lots of the digital research cd's. Does anybody know about the quality of these cd's? They were made in taiwan so I don't think they're the top notch brand.

its actually not free 🙂 8.25% tax + 2 stamps = $2.00 buck for me in California but hey for 50CDs hehheh 4cents each disk.

I've burnt halfway through a spindle all at 24X when they were $5 after MIR. About 3 audio CD's were bad, data CD's no problem. For free who can complain? If anyone wants I can post CD-R ID later.

You guys are lucky. I was at the Manchester, CT Best Buy Sunday at 11:25 AM (store opened at 11 AM) and snagged the very last one of these they had-actually it was one someone returned to the shelf when I was looking up a manager to see if more could be found.

OTOH, they had literally pallet loads of another brand CDR (TDK or Maxell, I forget) on the floor, but they weren't on sale.

Coraanu, Please ID it..but if it has problems burning audio cd's then i might stay away from them. thanx

i went to bb today and i didn't see the additional $6 rebate that brings the cdr's to free.
anyway, i did pick up 110 pny for $10.
i think pny is a bit better than digital research.

You should get two rebate forms when you pay and check out from the register machine. One is for $10 and one is for $6. These disks are the ones rates for 32x, note the 24x ones.

I picked up a pack at Best Buy today. Deal ends Saturday or when the stock is depleted. Here is the id for what it's worth:

ATIP: 97m 15s 12f
Disc Manufacturer: Ritek Co.
Reflective layer: Dye (Short strategy; e.g. Phthalocyanine)
Media type: CD-Recordable
nominal Capacity: 702.83MB (79m 59s 73f / LBA: 359848)

Looks like this media is roughly equivalent to the TDK's for $3 after rebate at CompUSA. Beware that Digital Research has a poor reputation for rebates.
