Oh, don't be such a grinch! Someone could hand you a gold bar and you will point out scratches on it's surface 😛
 
And some are fairly trivial - If you have a crane, and the sun is in the sky, then *somewhere* in a 360 degree radius around the crane, the sun is going to line up just right.

Hole in the fence, and a boat on the water? Let's see - if you move left, right, up, or down, you'll be able to line the boat up with the hole. Two points make a line: the boat and the hole. All you have to be is on that line on the opposite side of the hole. (Nice composition, but not "amazing timing.")

yeah, nice photos, but many of them are unspectacular. to rate the Olympic rings with the moon at that angle as 1 and lightning striking the statue of liberty as 2....there are worlds of difficulty and luck separating those two photos.

Are they actually ranked? I thought it was just 50 photos, no particular order type deal.
