i think this is a hot/warm deal. these are 48X fuji cd-r. check your local k-mart.

if repost, sorry!

just confirmed this. its $11.99. bought all 3 for $39.00. this was at the sac, cali kmart on stockton blvd.

not to crap on your thread here, but best buy usually has these for a lot less after rebate if you can wait.

this is to crap on your thread.. no more like fart, then crap, then mash the poop around with a spatchula till it just stinks even more.. okay
yeah
this deal sucks. 11 bucks for 50 cd's? are you out of your mind? do you usually have your cd's shipped around the world first, and then buy them?
you're paying for cd's about a .25 cents each(.2398 cents actual) damn.. and i don't think this would be a repost cause nobody would post this in the first place.
the end.

not to crap on your thread here, but ....

Then why did you????

Some people simply don't want to deal with rebates. Thus, their options are to spend $11.99 and tax at Kmart, or ~$25.00 - $45.00 at Best Buy, CompUSA, etc. That's their decision. And for them, this is a hot deal....

Hey thortyboy - hope the Mean Mod isn't on tonight,.... unless of course you like free vacations ! ! ! !

There was a time, in a Hot Deals forum far, far, far away....

when and where Imation 4x CMC Magnetics were $69.99 - $99.99 per spindle (100). "Hot Deal" pricematches where when Staples would advertise the 100-pack spindles for $69.99, creating a really good pricematch opportunity the last time Office Depot was 'doing' the 115-percent price guarantee....

That was little more than two years ago (Feb-Apr 00)

Maybe more so than you think ! 🙂

rebates suck 🙂 decent deal. its not like the topic says "scorching hot" or anything like that. i might pick up a pack since i absolutely despise rebates

to some people like me, don't have the time and (extra) money to deal with rebates. so, paying 11 bux for a 48X speed, good-brand cd-r media is a warm deal. Now, if you think this is a cold deal for you, say it "plain and simple" then SHUT your blow hole. That's how we do it here!:|

rebates are great for some things, like a $100 rebate on a WD HDD, but personally i'd rather spend $12 on CDR's and have money left over to buy a pizza now than to sit around waiting on a $10 check, so thanks for the heads up, pinoy.

I'd get them but I don't have a Kmart near here anymore and besides, when they closed the cds were still priced more than this.

Sounds like a good deal. I hate messing with small rebates, like $2 or $5 ... bigger rebates( >$5 ) are OK, though.

pinoy, thanks!

And K-squared, thanks for sticking up for us small-rebate haters. 🙂

nice deal, great cdr's at a good price no waiting or haggleing just to save a couple bucks.

i wouldn't consider what activex said a crap, it was just an honest observation. but thorty is a whole nother deal. that crap is just pathetic and he realy needs to learn to keep those opinions to himself. if you feel that strongly about this you need to be in therapy not here posting ignortant garbage.

hay thortyboy, get a freaking life kid. what are you 12?

plus the extra expense like postage and certified mail bumps up the cost of rebates more...
$12 for a 50 pack of archival cdrs is not bad at all

pinoy - Yup this is a pretty good deal. Especially since many of the rebates are for the lower speed CDRs.
If your time is worth nothing, you can run around to stores that have rebates and possibly save a little, but this is the EASY way.

Looks like a good deal to me but I have a question regarding the CD's.

Are these CD's made in Japan? Does it say it on the package? If so then these are awesome CD's and worth the price. I normally pay about $25 for 24x japan fuji discs.

And how long is this good for?

i was giving my two cents worth, crapping would have been saying something much worse. i got tons of stuff cheap or practically free with rebates, but thats just me, its nice to know you have money coming back to you

there is no need to send your rebate out certified, regular mail is fine, i scan my rebate form and upc code in before i mail it out so i have proof if those dipshi*s who handle the compusa rebates lose my rebate form, yes, it has happened.

finally, for all you anti-rebaters, target has 50-pack possibly certified tdk media for $10, no rebate, no forms to fill out and you dont even have to donate a blood sample 🙂

if you guys need batteries for everyday use (toys, remote, etc.), you might wanna buy rayovac batts. its got $5 instant coupon. then buy the cd-r. just a suggestion!

here's the link:rayovac batteries

ALL FujiFilm Branded CDRs are Made in Japan (Taiyo Yuden).

I HATE MIR's too.

My deal of 30 MEMOREX 24x 80 min 700mb CD-R's for 4.00 shipped NO MIR. was better.

too bad i waited to long and they went OOS!

🙁

I just picked up two and they were 24x remarked to 40x and made in japan (I swear I've seen some fuji's that were made in taiwan).

I think it's odd though that I've also seen the 24x cd's that were rebadged 16x. I'm guessing that these cd's will do 48x no problem and have probably always been that way.

Anyways it's a good deal, I basically got it at a 2 for 1 price since I normally pay $25 for one.

anyone have SKU's, or link, or something? Also, how do we know it is necessarily TY, will it say Made in japan on packaging?

I think this sounds like a really nice deal cuz i HATE Mirs on small things. I don't mind it on like a dell computer or something, butno ton CDr's aint' worth the time and remembering it IMO. too many other things to keep track of.

hey do you guys burn at 48x? I burn mine at 16x or slower because i notice a difference in quality on my vcd's if i burn it faster than 16x. also, i heard that if you burn at 4x and other slow speeds, its a longer lasting burn or something, not sure about this.

i backup data mostly, so i use the max.
for audio, eac uses 1x, so that is probably best
and
"there is no need to send your rebate out certified, regular mail is fine, i scan my rebate form and upc code in before i mail it out so i have proof..."
*waits for the day company pulls a viewsonic on poster and wants him to send proof that he sent it before the postmark date for the rebates' elgibility expired*

You can usually tell if a spindle of CDs is TY:
1- Says Made in Japan on label.
2- Has a screw-down plastic knob on top of the spindle (I've only seen white, but others have said that there are also black knob packs).
All Fujis I've ever gotten have been TY and there are several utilities out on the web that can read the mfr info off the disks to satisfy your curiosity. TY, Mitsui and Kodak are as good as they get.
.bh.
