Stolen from FW.

The description states $20, the actual price shown is $15. Closeout. No brand/speed stated. Item # 20727000. It could be regional. I am not sure if it is available at B&M.

It might be a very good filler for a DVD-RW drive deal (like the Mad Dog 8x drive).

Link (not sure if it'll work).

After scoring Ricohs for $21/50pk last week, and seeing as how Riteks are only ~$24/50pk everyday, I dunno if buying unbranded DVD-Rs is a good idea.

But if these are OfficeMax generic discs, they are probably CMC or whatever brand Khypermedia is using today.

Has anyone been able to get on this deal? I called earlier today and was told that it was not available in my area. I ended up getting 50 ValueDisc 4X +Rs for $25 after a $25 IR.

shop4tech's sonic dvdr 1-2x is actually 4x! 50 for 13 shipped, 100 for 26.00 shipped, can't go wrong!

OfficeMax is also having a clearance on Fuji media.

So if they don't have this generic 50-pack DVD-R, check for a 25-pack Fuji DVD+R for $17 here

Can't really make out a speed on the product packaging picture, nor is there one listed in the text description, but I assume that it's at least 2.4x, maybe 4x, and that Fuji is generally quality, so these are probably decent media. Unsure who the real mfg is. (Ricoh Japan, hopefully?)

Note clearly that this deal thread is for "-R", while the Fuji that I listed above is "+R". But most people have dual-format burners by now.

even better is the 50 fujis for 32.00 - couple that with the 10.00 off 20.00 cards being mailed to customers and you got 50 for 22 for fuji 4X+

most likely what'll be found..RicohJPNR00..will only be 4x if pkg clearly is marked as 4x..those usually are RicohJPNR01

Wow, good find. I went to my local store, and they showed only one in stock, but couldn't find it, and none in stock on the Fuji DVDs. I did find one other "goodie", check the B&M thread for more info. :)

Is there any chance that you, or someone, could post a picture of the packaging on these? I want to know what I'm looking for when scavenging my local OM store displays, if possible. Thanks.

PS. Although ScrapSilicon was first, let me also welcome you to AT. :) It was also the HotDeals forum here that got me to register, after being a lurking reader of these forums for a few years.

I had a CSR do an inventory check on 20727000 at a local store. It appeared that no store in So. Fla (Broward & Dade) had any EXCEPT the Miami Coral Way (Store # 174 I think), which has 18, and a store in Hialeah which had 1.

With blank dvd's is there a difference in the quality of brand like "star-logic" vs. "TDK" or "Sony"...

I bought the Value Disc this week $19.95 out the door - 50 pk, dvd+r, 4x. Pretty good quality. It looks really ugly with cheesy green color with "Value Disc" written on top. Nonetheless, it burns well. It seems to be well made.
