Are you sure these are rewritables? 20 cents a piece for 80 min rewritables in an INCREDIBLE deal, even at 4x.

Went to the CompUSA in Santa Barbara CA. They had 2x 50pack CDRWs for $9.99. I didn't pick any up cause I bought a crapload of cd-rs in the last CompUsa deal. Still a good deal especially for CDRW.

what does compusa cdrw look like??it's silver surface w/ blue underneath???i know my tosiba sd 1200 dvd player could read compusa cdrw pretty well.

The disc are silver on the label side and a goldish/platinum on the write side. I did not see any adds in the papers and yes I did get ALL
the 80mins cdrw but there was still plenty of the 74min spindles.

Picked up 2 boxes last night in Goleta,Ca.

There were about 5 of the 80min boxes left and a whole shelf of SKU# 271049 (74Min)

Next to them were some that looked exactly the same, cept the box was blk/white and only held 25pcs, but for $29.99. shrinkwrapped spindle type, 4X max, w/out jewels etc.
Wonder why the higher price? doh,

just picked one up. It is the 74 mins one, Sku#271049. Yeah, it is right. On box, the sticker price is 29.88, but the scanned price is 9.99. Good deal. I did not see the 80 mins ones though, maybe out.

here at michigan, I got those 4x 80min cdrw (271050). it's 9.99.
they also have plenty of 4x 74min cdrw (271049). fyi.

Compusa in Culver City (Los Angeles) had some (maybe 20 boxes at 16:00) of the 4x 74min cdrw (271049). But the 4x 80min cdrw (271050) were sold out.
And yes, both are 9.99.

Got 2 here in Phoenix. The sku is 271050. You cannot find it on Compusa web site, but if you call them, they can tell you how many are available in your local store. The shelf price is 39.98 here, though it rings at 9.99.

I went out and bought some yesterday. It comes in a gray box. Inside the box is a spindle. I burned a few w/ the CDRWs last night and they worked fine. Read fine on both of my comps reg cdrom drives...

Great deal guys! Dallas stores have plenty of both the 74 min and the 80 min variety ( 80 mins come in a white box with Green wording ). I first asked the assistant about the deal; he checked with the manager and said 'No way' are they selling any at $9.99. I went back 20 minutes later, armed with the SKU number from this forum and hey presto; what a deal. Thanks again.
