Serious question. Is PJ any good? Im not a pizza snob and have never tried PJ pizza. For frame of reference I love Mr Jims pizza.

Oh boy! I'm one of the ELITE! I've got to call my mom! (Don't worry that you somehow added a 'C' to 'NY'...Reading and comprehending is a common failing of the proletariat)
I hope all you commoners enjoy your crappy pizza!

As you can see, there's plenty of debate on the matter. It not amazing, but for the right price it's certainly edible. I like it better than Domino's and about the same as Pizza Hut. I'm not familiar with Mr Jims, so I can't make a comparison there.

For the record, I ordered 2 pizzas with the coupon code, and I'm glad I did. Didn't want to do any cooking this weekend and I had been craving pizza for a long time.

We have a PJ, Dominos and PH all just across the street from each other. Of the 3, PJ usually have the best pizza. And I am glad that I found this thread, as I have been out in the rain most of the day helping to get things ready for ISSAC to squeeze by us. Thank goodness that its further south then north. We still have a lot of wetness to content with, but at least I don't have to cook tonight.

Thanks OP...

Papa Johns is a marketing wizard. He has most every city covered with some deal where if your home team wins, pizza is half price. It's almost like supporting YOUR team. Likewise, because it is half off, it gives the illusion of costing less while they slowly raise the list prices. The guy is truely a marketing wizard over all the other pizza shops and the pizza is actually pretty good.

I don't know, I added a large pizza with 2 toppings and additional cheeses and the regular price was only $8.99. The 50% coupon makes it a whopping $4.50, makes me almost feel guilty lol.

Years ago it was much better than it is today. They've changed something, namely the quality of ingredients. I've tried it here in Chicago and while in Texas and Iowa.. it's just not the same as it was years ago.

Hope you gave it a shot at 50% off, maybe your chain somehow tastes better than the last 3 or 4 I've had.

For cheap, regular chain pizza I prefer Domino's. Pizza Hut is a bit better, but approaches the price of the local chains that destroy all the major chains. Domino's used to be the worst until they redid their formula.

I'm not advocating any major chain.. they're only good if you're stuck in a smaller city or suburbia.. and in those cases you won't really know any better to be honest.

Around here in downtown Chicago, the chains seem to actually struggle to exist.. they get no respect and less orders. Case in point, don't neglect your local chains in favor of clown acts like PapaJohns.

I think you have questionable taste in pizza, personally. Growing up in NY, I consider their pizza absolute crap. And like you said, 50% off twice as much as it's worth is not really a 'hot deal'.

DIAF, troll.

So you have to threadcrap his threadcrapped posts after I already warned him twice?

What's the purpose of that?
