Which one? The latest one isn't on sale according to the list.

Gothic 3 is amazing with the community patch - TONS of content that'll take you quiet awhile to finish the game.

Edited - you do NOT want the Forsaken Gods version [from what I've read that one is very buggy and crap]. You want "Gothic 3 Game of the Year Edition"

Is Gothic 3 Game of the Year Edition the one that is sold through STEAM? I would like to get this game but would rather have it through STEAM if it is the same. Its $5 more but it would keep all my downloaded games together.

Basically - Gothic 3 (Game of the Year Edition) is a fully patched (including the community patches). If you buy a boxed copy - you get a few extra goodies:

* A wooden box stuffed with velvet as package
* A making-of DVD (the same as in the Collector's Edition)
* A poster
* Screenshots of announced successor Arcania: A Gothic Tale
