Heres how I got this deal, I went to www.nullsoft.com and installed the large free winamp package and it comes with this free trial, after installing the winamp software there will be a little pizza looking circle down on the taskbar. Click there and sign up, I hope I read the rules ok but it looks completely free and these 50 songs are yours to keep or burn on to cd's for free, remember to cancel before the 2 weeks are up or stay logged on if you like the service, credit card required for the signup. This is my first deal post so take it easy on me, thanks.

When you say the "Large Winamp package" are you talking about the pro version?

so you have to register just to view their inventory now!?!? I did this deal a couple years ago.. 100mp3s for free...would like to see what new stuff they have before signing up.

well i jumped. you also get 10 free downloads for referring others to try the trial.. neat

so what should I get? I found The Prodigy Experience which was really cool, but I still have 38 downloads to go! any recommendations? looking for electronic, but not just thump-thump-thump-thump music.

Soul Oddity put out " Tone Capsule" that is still one of the best. Download this and you will love it. I dont see it though. They went on to form Phoenicia. Download Soul oddity from soulseek if you can.

25 cents a track, a US company paying real royalties instead of Russian thieves, and some decent indie label releases.

Unfortunately, none of the major labels are on board, so of about 20 singer-songwriter artists I searched for only 4 were there, and only the latest CD from after the major labels dropped them for not being Britney enough.

For singer-songwriter fans looking for a some extra tracks to use up their 50:
Bruce Cockburn (Charity of Night is excellent)
Richard Thompson (both CDs good)
Tom Waits (always worth a listen)

Gee sorry Juice, next time try putting the name of the company somewhere in the title or message so my search finds it.

I did this about a year ago with no problems. Super easy to cancel, too. Still have the MP3s.

They don't have a ton of great titles, but for the price, who can complain?

OH MAN!

Thank you sooooo much for putting this up here OP. This place has the excellent "Math and Other Problems" album by the Marvelous 3. Some of the best pop rock ever to come out of the nineties. I had been trying to get local record stores to order this album for months, but none of them can find it....now I have the whole thing! Beautiful! Also grabbed some Prodigy, Juno Reactor, AFI, and others. Some good stuff there if you're willing to pick through the pile...

These three are must haves

Katrina
The Retail Girl
Make Up

After that it's up to you, although my least favorite track is "In the Beginning of Relationships".

I also recommend checking out The Marvelous 3's other two Albums "Hey! Album" and "Ready Sex Go". I have both in actual CD form and I can't really think of a bad track on either one.

VBR, I believe something like alt-preset standard but I haven't seen anywhere on the site what the exact encoding is. Anyway, it's better than any other music site I've come across (except for some of the Russian one where they encoded it well).
