Do you only kiss a person using dental dams too? The point was about BLOWJOBS. If you'd kiss a person, you better not be getting so crazy about wearing a condom for a blowjob too (not saying that it is safe, just saying people can be a bit overboard).

That would be because saliva to saliva doesn't transfer STDs (you could get mono I guess).

Whereas if you have herpes and someone blows you, they'd soon have genital herpes in their oral area. Which isn't that huge of deal since so many people have oral herpes anyway I guess (although I'm not sure on this point, since I seem to recall that it might be worse if it goes from genital to your oral area but this was probably just media hype).

Actually, the other thing is that, oral herpes can easily turn into genital herpes. And over 50% of the population has oral herpes. So if you don't realize that someone has a cold sore and they give you a blow job, you might end up getting genital herpes without realizing. And then you'll end up spreading this genital herpers to their genitalia, and you'll both be pissed at each other lol.

EDIT: hmm double checked and I guess basically they're still the same strains even after going from one part of the body to the other, so I guess it would still be worse to have genital herpes in your mouth area.

Oh and it's more than 50% of the population apparently...whatever 254 million out of 300 million is, lol.
 
What you are calling "oral herpes" cannot change into "genital herpes".
You won't get genital herpes from someone having a cold sore.

You should read up a little more on it, especially before scaaring everyone with your post.

Did you miss sex ed in school, or are you a retard? Any bodily fluid can spread STDs, and herpes simplex != genital herpes. Do your research before spreading misinformation.
