I am having a hell of a time finding the car I want so I thought I would put some of you to work. I am looking for a White Lexus SC300 (1992-1997) with a manual transmission. I have tried craigslist, ebay, cars.com, autotrader, etc. Any car I find is either already sold or way overpriced. I almost had one the other day (local too!) but the guys wife decided to be a biatch and want $1000 more after I had agreed on a price with her husband.

So here are the rules, if you provide me with a lead to a car and I end up buying it, you get $50. If it is within 300 miles of Los Angeles, CA, you get $100. If its 300-500 miles away, you get $75.

EDIT: You all lose

1. look for a car on the internet.
2. find car that you buy.
3. send me the $50.

I got part 3 covered, waiting for part 1 and 2 to be completed.

the normal way this is done is that a reputable trader holds the $100 in escrow for you. too scamful otherwise.

I've been on these forums for a while, I'm not going anywhere.

How much do you want to spend?

Depends on the condition of the car. Upto $9-10k for a very clean car with low mileage.

Been there, done that. The only one availabe currently that matches what I want is in Minnesota and hes asking $8500. It's a little pricey since I have to drive it 2000 miles to get it home.

lol, good luck with the search. Those cars are pretty rare... you may want to consider giving up on white specifically.

Surely you're aware of the twin turbo variation of the 2JZE motor.

The SC300 never came with the 2JZ-GTE in the US but many people have swapped it in themselves along with the 6 speed supra transmission.

One More Unknown transmission type, but is in LA somewhere.

First one don't like the color.

Second one is sold (I really wanted to go see that one).

Third one I've seen, don't like the color (its more green than blue).

Last one tried calling, no answer. Not much hope on that one anyhow since it was listed 6 months ago and when manual transmission is not specified, it almost always means auto with these cars.
