It's not. I really just cringe watching Jon Stewart. I at least get why Colbert is funny.

You're in the minority then. Jon Stewart is very clever and his delivery, while unconventional at times, is pretty good. The writing speaks for itself (as do the 13 Emmys).

Again though...Colbert seems to take a more comical approach while Stewart tends to take a more politically slanted one...

So one could truly argue that is their major differences...Stewart though, has a really good sense of humor.

I'm with the other guy. I don't like Stewart and love Colbert.

Love both but I agree Stewart is consistently better, and a lot smarter though Colbert has some great moments too.

I don't really like/dislike Stewart, it depends on the joke, his delivery really doesn't do anything for me. The best part of Stewart's Daily Show for me has always been the correspondents.

I do find Colbert to be funnier. The first season or year or whatever, he was lights out. I believe they must have put most of their writers behind his show to give it a good initial push. The Daily Show was noticeably worse, which was ridiculous that it won the Emmy over Colbert that year.

Both have kinda leveled off since then.
