i remember when it used to be free :( i've gone only once since they started charging. I guess they are trying to discourage casual browsers, you're actually going to pick something up, then its a good deal. They have a large selection of inexpensive cases, and *lots* of ahem, questionable software.

You can also go the show and fill out a form at the entrance and they will send an email a few days before every show. Serves as a good reminder.

There are some good deals to be had there.

Anyone been to one of these lately? The quality started going down dramatically after they raised the prices. One of the vendors I talked to said that they also raised the prices for the vendors selling there. Many of them were boycotting the shows & the number of tables dropped.

If they did a show in the South bay, like in Mountain View, I might check it out.. otherwise I don't think it's worthwhile.

i go every now and then, still a good place to pick up random cpu stuff (that you'll get ripped off for at compusa) or cpu/mobo's that you HAVE to have and can't wait for shipping. they have a mandatory 30 day warrenty policy too, used that a couple times no problem. the hot deal is giving 5 people discount coupons, then you get a ticket for a FREE admission in the mail.

Well, I was planning to go to the show this weekend. 3 bucks is no biggie considering if you buy stuff it is cheap. Prices are exactly mail order online prices such as pricewatch without the shipping. There's also a guy there that sells pirate dreamcast games. Go check it out. I am going this weekend. Maybe we should set up a carpool for those in the southbay! LOL

If you're on the mailing list, and don't go for a while, once in a blue moon they'll send you a free pass , kind of a "since we haven't seen you in a while" deal. That's the only time I go, but I go to the ones at the Oakland Convention Center. Prices are OK, it's fun to browse and haggle (some do it, some don't)
