$5 off any purchase at RadioShack

"If product purchased is less than $5 discount, no change will be given"

:Q :Q :Q :Q

Hmm...time to pick up all the little resisters and stuff to mod my PSU.

Why does it say, "No photocopies?" My laser printer only prints in black

I print coupons all the time in black only and don't have any trouble using them. Hopefully, this time won't be any different.

I just tried using the coupon, and they said I need to purchase a item for $5 or more, wouldn't accept it on 2 items totaling over $5.

Any one able to use the coupon with 2 items for over $5 or even 1 item less than $5?

Save $5 on any product purchase in-store 5/3-5/7.

Whoa, good deal. I suggest combining it with this item.
Catalog #: 26-304

It's one of those PSX-to-USB adaptors (supports rumble feature!), for $10.49 - $5 = $5.49 + tax.
That's about half of what they go for on the 'net. 🙂

If you look at the instructions to the store clerk, the coupon reduces the price, rather than substituting for other payment.

So, you have to use it on one item, although there is a possibility that a quantity of the same item might work.

Excellent!
Lots of project parts for around $5 + about 5 RS's near me = an almost free project

Many thanks

Here's a list of some more items that I found listed in their catalog, that might be useful when combined with the $5 off coupon.

Belkin® 4-Pack Stylus for PalmOne? Zire? PDA
$4.99 Brand: Belkin
Catalog #: 25-2524 Model: F8P6301

This would make a good accessory for that $20 Palm Zire PDA on clearance at Target, in another ATHD thread.

HP® 15-Pack 8x11 Premium Glossy Photo Paper

$10.49 Brand: Hewlett Packard
Catalog #: 16-3664

HP Photo paper, half-price.

Linksys® EtherFast® 10/100 LAN Card

$14.99 Brand: Linksys
Catalog #: 25-3000 Model: LNE100TX

Listed as $5 after $10 MIR, now FAR. 🙂

Verbatim® Digital Vinyl CD-R 80-Minute/700MB 10-Pack in Jewel Cases

$4.99 Brand: Verbatim®
Catalog #: 26-570 Model: 94443

Free CD-Rs are always good. These are the vinyl-style ones.

16MB Memory Card for PlayStation®

$9.99 Brand: Playstation®
Catalog #: 26-656 Model: 26-656

16MB Memory card for PSX, half price.
(Product page says "Playstation", but I've never seen 16MB memory cards for PSX that I recall. Normal Sony PSX memory cards are 128KB, and PS2 memory cards are 8MB. I almost wonder if these are for PS2, but the price seems too low for that.)

768K Keypad Personal Organizer

$14.97 Brand: RadioShack
Catalog #: 65-1217 Model: RS-19

Pocket organizer for ~$10, includes PC-link cable and CD-ROM. Has actual keyboard, instead of hunt 'n peck LCD touchscreen, and 768KB of memory.

The Rookie's Guide to the Internet

$2.97 Brand: RadioShack
Catalog #: 62-2320 Model: 62-2320

LOL. A n00b's guide to the internet. Might not be a bad deal for Mother's Day though.

50-Pack CD/DVD Envelopes

$4.49 Brand: Burlington
Catalog #: 26-491 Model: 26-491

Free CD-sleeves, to go with the free CD-Rs. Not sure if these are paper or tyvek, probably just paper.

Printer Paper

$5.99 Brand: Burlington
Catalog #: 26-490 Model: 26-490

Not photo paper, but 500 sheets for $0.99 for regular paper isn't too shabby either.

Here is a list of things from another site that listed some items to use this coupon on.
YMMV-depending on store stock.

278-1764 3ft. Cat5e -$4.99
278-1763 3ft. Cat5e -$5.39
26-570 Verbatim Vinyl CDR 10pk -$4.99(SALE YMMV)

True, but the coupon instructions state that the RS employee "...reduce the price of the product(s) by $5." That plural implies to me that they should have taken the coupon for the two items (they would reduce 1 item to $0 & the other to whatever brings the discount to $5). At the very least they should have given him one of the <$5 items for free (from the "if product purchased is less than $5 discount no change will be given." statement on the coupon).

You're welcome, but the big thanks goes to allisolm for posting this thead. 🙂

I'm going to try to snag about 4 of these gizmos, and plug them into a USB 1.1 mini-hub. Then I can finally try to play some of those 3/4-player MAME games with the guys. These adaptors generally work pretty well with most Windows-based emulators.

Btw, has anyone tried using more than one coupon in a single visit? Were you sucessful? I've got about 4-5 stores near me, so I was just going to hit each one up in turn. Any issues trying to use it on an under-$5 item? (Shouldn't be, the coupon seems to have been written with that in mind, but curious nevertheless.)

Hah, I went to an RS near me, and it really IS hard to find something around $5 to spend it on. I was determined to walk out with something free, but none of their batteries had prices, and anything under $5 was well.. just total junk or some bizarre little adapter that I MIGHT use but I already have boxes and boxes of that crap around the house.

I finally bought a $10 svid cable and got it for $4 and change. Like you guys, I figure I can hit 4 RSs on the way home depending on the route I take.. hahaha.

During lunch I visited a Radio Shack. Picked up 3 ft cat5e cable for $0.39 out the door.

It's weird because on the sales receipt it shows $0.39 as the purchase price with no mention of coupon. So as others indicated they deduct the coupon first before scanning the product. You would expect to see $5.39 - coupon or discount but it doesn't work that way.

My wife will visit RS later today to pick up the PSX-to-USB adapter for $5.49 out the door 🙂
