Heh. That kind of surprises me - I used to work at a Mervyn's, and I honestly wouldn't have cared if people used the coupon.

I didn't particularly like the job, but it was money....

You guys are gonna love this! I went in with one of these coupons two days ago, and the lady in line behind me asked me if I got that off the internet, so I told here where I got it. I went in tonight to get some more boxers for my son with my $5 coupon, and noticed one lady in front with a coupon. I went to the back, found a $52 jacket for my son, passed her the sheet with both coupons on it, she gave me %50, +%50, + the ten dollar off $50 or more purchase, and got the jacket for $3. The lady looked at me and laughed and asked me where to get the coupons. I told her, and she told me she had recieved at least 80 of them today at her register alone. And we turned around, and lined up behind me were about ten more customers with coupons in their hands. I guess that lady must have known a few people, word sure did travel fast!!!
Anyway, so far, I got six pairs of little boy boxers, one really nice little boy jacket, and a set of silver plated cake plates by Godinger (originally $60, got 'em for about $5).

Well that is a YMMV I don't think anyone else would take the $10 coupon for an item that was marked $13 at the register.

But yes this coupon makes that sale SUPER HOT.

I gotta tell you about my shopping today at Mervyn's. I've rarely had so much fun. I printed off ten sets of coupons last nite and stuck them in my jacket pocket least I forget, and driving by Mevyn's today went in and wow, were they having a sale of sales. Clearance prices and then 50-60% off clearance. I hit every register in the store, on both floors, sometimes twice where the sales girls were playing coy. Many times I used the $10 coupon on a single item under $20. It was only once that a sales clerk (male) even said no to using the $10 off on less than $50.

I think I'm gonna print some more coupons and make a second pass at the place tomorrow cause these coupons are gonna give the MBAs at corporate a stomach ulcer and don't expect to see this promotion happen again...

So, as I'm unpacking my loot for the day, I spent well under $100 and have a new King size comforter/sham set, 2 really nice sets of shoes for my daughter, a really nice blouse/shirt and bathrobe for her too, bunches of aromatherapy candles, a Union Bay carry-all for me (it's not a purse if you're a guy 🙂, a clock/chalkboard set, and for me a pair of High Sierra cords and a denim overshirt, more candles. What a score.

My wife is too cheap to buy herself some good house slippers so today I got her some nice cozy Dearfoams. $20 on the box, marked down to $11.98. When the cashier rang them up, they came out to $7.76 with tax. I thought she had already applied the coupon but I asked just to make sure. She hadn't. Final total, with tax, was $2.35. Are they out of their minds??? And why can't Circuit City do something in the same proportion??

LOL @ Dogbertt! I cleaned up NICELY on the $5 video games 'christmas clearance' at CC! The kids are having a field day with all those games!!! My CC's were all very helpful with the deal, the employees here were cleaning up too!

Last day for this Mervyn's STEAL, uh I mean DEAL!
Yesterday we got NICE Serta pillows. $20, on sale for $10, so $5 each!
Also got a wool SF Giants blanket for the coming baseball season.
$30, on sale this week for $15. I think the gay guy was flirting with me, he then used the $10 off instead of $5 off coupon, so got it for $5! My fiance was behind me in line, busting up laughing!
