I think Martha got a raw deal. And in the end more innocent got hurt than needed too. I think this was big lousy sham. They need to be prosecuting real white collar criminals. IIRC there have been ~30 indictments handed down by the Enron grand jury that has been sitting for over 2 years. These people worked for Enron and Aurther Anderson. Many people from Worldcom have been indicted. Along with the host of other companies with cooked books and while no indictments have been handed down yet, there are currently federal investigations into Global Crossing, AOL, and several other companies.
These cases are far more complex than a simple case like Marthas. I really wish people would get a freaking clue and stop spouting off they should go after the "real white collar criminals" because they ARE.
