China is such an interesting place. I remember in this video the tank driver does his best to not simply run the guy over. A few days later they unload on the people in the square. My fiancee's brothers wife grew up in Beijing and moved to the US 15 years ago. The stories she has of having her little red book and soldiers coming at 2 in the morning to make them run through fields barefoot while reciting some poem to mao is unbelievable.

China kills their own, but at least they're fair. Anti-government protester, corrupt billionaire tycoon, neither is safe from execution. Fascism isn't an inherent evil, and when those in power have some form of moral guidance and aren't susceptible to nepotism, the government can still run smoothly. I admire China tbh.
