5 IP address how do I assign it to each of the PCs

I am using Win2k with SP4 and each PC has a NIC and I have a switch as well as a router/ DSL... some say if I have a Switch it works better than the router ? Is there a tutorial I can set each PC to have its own IP address ? Since I have paid for it ?

ok, im trying ot make sense of your post.


if you leave otu the router, you should be able to plug your 5 computers into the switch and get DHCP to assign the available ips to your computers.

or you could statically assign the 5 ips to your 5 computers, depending on which way you want ot handle it.
