It's a four door hatchback, very popular everywhere else in the world because of it's inherent utility. I had a 5 door Mazda 626 Turbo. I liked it. It was very useful.
It's how they differentiate between a 4 door with a hatchback or a trunk.
Trunks are not are 5th door, Hatchbacks are. Thus a 5 door is a 4 door hatchback, rather than a 4 door with Trunk (which would just be a 4 door, since the trunk is assumed ).
Geforcekj, it's an engine design no one but mazda really uses.
