Ok here's my scenario. I have 5 computers that need to access the internet. Currently I have a 4 port router hooked to my cable modem. However I have 5 computers! Is there a way using the hub to have all 5 computers access the internet via the router? Please help me out in any way. Thanks ahead of time.

Yes there is. You should be able to use the uplink port on your router to connect the hub to your router. Just connect a cable from the routers uplink port to one of the hubs ports and you should ba able to use the hub through the router. Check the routers manual for info on exactly how to do this. My linksys router's manual gives exact instructions on how to do this.

loose the hub - you won't be happy

get a cheap switch (like this)

run a cat5 cable from your router uplink port to any port on the switch - now the switch acts like an extension of your router ports. no software to load, just plug it in and go.

you should note however, that the port on your router next to the uplink port should be left open (they are shared). this means that you loose one port on your router (now serving to link the router to the switch). you also loose one port on the switch (where the cable from the router plugs in). plug two computers into the switch - your good to go.
