I was skeptical about the vibrating part at first, but it feels good and seems to aid the cutting effectiveness. Anyway, I've been using regular Mach3 blades with the vibrating handle--works perfectly.

I've tried 4 and 5, and the shave wasn't any better than with just three. I love my three-blade razor.

Yes I have noted the same thing. I don't really get any better of a shave when I use my new-fangled 5 bladed Fusion than when I was using my old 3 bladed Mach 3. This competition between Gillette and Schick is just a pen0r war. Absolutely pointless. Hell, 2 blades is probably all you *really* need but even that is debatable as we got by with a single blade for a very long time before they started making multi-razored heads. Sometimes bigger is NOT better. Sometimes more is less. Like in this case of 5 bladed razors.

Mach 3 Turbo still the best. Better even than the later M3 Powers. Fusion suckethd.

Got a Fusion for free. Seems to work just as well and maybe better than my M3 Turbo...

I am using the normal M3 though and the Fusion I got is the battery powered / vibrating model.

one blade works great for me. i have a nice DE safety razor that works better then the mach 3. though the mach 3 is pretty darn nice.

looks like 3 blades is preferred over 5 blades two to one.

Gillette Fusion is like Geforce FX

Hot Deals alert:

I found Mach3 and Mach3 Turbo cartridges on clearance at CVS. 50% off, so final price was $4.75 to $5.25 for each 4 pack. YMMV as usual.

I got a free Fusion & tried it, but the shaving head was just too big for my face ... also got several free Quattros via threads on the "free stuff" forum here on AT & while they gave a close shave they were very rough on my skin.

3 blades are in fact better then 2, but more the 3 quickly reachs the point of diminishing returns... sticking with my Mach 3 Turbo.

oldstyle is a straight razor. I don't know what this "3-blade" oldstyle BS is about.

anyhoo, no reason to go beyond 2 blades for a grocery store type POS. But NOTHING beats a properly-sharpened single blade razor. and nothing ever will.

I like the Fusion over the Mach 3. I get a closer shave, and I can go 3 weeks with it vs 2 with the Mach 3.

i use the fusion and i get maybe 1-2, or 3 uses if i'm lucky, before it goes dull.

Are you a chimp?

i do tend to wait until it starts to itch before i shave, so that may have osemthing to do with it.

I shave once a week, Thursday. Because Thursday is ladies night at The Bishop. I'm using a Quattro right now. It gets about 5 or 6 uses before I have to switch out, just because I punish it on Thursday. It counts the days waiting for Bishop night and tries hard to hide, but then realizes its just a razor and its already in a drawer so it really can't hide any better.

you go around stubble faced? should be quite long after a full week.
