I think 98% of us realize that the lottery is a tax on the poor, that any one of us is more likely to be hit by lightning or become president, that we would be better off using that $10 a share for something more practical or donating to charity, yada yada... but there is still something exciting about the tiniest possibility of winning a million dollars or more individually.

Ha, though that says more about the Optima than the BMW. 😀

I don't generally like BMWs, but the M5 and now the M6 does have some appeal to me. Not that I would ever buy either even if I did have the money.

I would much, much rather get a Lotus Exige. If I could get a Scura edition for under $70k, I would be sorely tempted to do it. Honestly, if we won I would probably just pay off my student loans and my Mustang to start off with, then maybe start a business and get more ed-yoo-muh-cay-shun 😀. No extravagant purchases or bling for me.

Is ViVi going to let us pick one ticket from the pool of ~800(?) tickets, then with the remaining 799 tickets, toss out 798 of them, then ask if we'd like to trade our original ticket for the remaining ticket out of that pool?

in theory, some have already volunteered for data entry. in the past, vivi just scans all the tickets and sends the scans to the data entry people, who put the numbers in a spreadsheet that can then easily be searched.
 
Can't he just stand at the counter of the convenience store while the line of angry meth heads, coffee drinkers, and tobacco abusers stretches past the roller dogs?
 
so if ViVi donates to charity the $78 that we will invariably win from all of our tickets, can I then claim my $10 share purchase as a charity donation, or should I claim it as a gambling loss for 2013?

going to start the painful process of scanning these things ...... haha.

I stopped at 3 gas stations, they all said the same thing, I am going to have to call my manager to have him collect this much cash, LOL. They were all concerned about being robbed for some reason.

I hope we win, I have plans!

I send them to everyone, so they know what their $10-$50 bought, LOL. But yes, some people will enter them in to a spreadsheet which i'll send an email on once I get 'em all scanned.
