5.8 GHz phone :D

Bought an ATT 5.8 GHz phone today, because we have two wireless lappys and had a 2.4 GHz phone before. Regardless of where the channel was set the phone knocked out the lappys. This problem came to a head when I tried to give someone direction while I was looking at mapquest. I needed to hang up on them, then call them back. Frustrating.

THese phones highly recommended

I'm waiting for the ZHz phones. Sure you have to wear the lead-lined suit to use one, but everything is so much clearer using gamma rays.

I hope you don't mind your neighbors listening in. 😉

no not necessarily. back when 900mhz was the new kewl thing they had spread spectrum digital 900mhz, same as with the new 2.4ghz. and just the same as now...there are analog only 2.4ghz and 900mhz...

My 900 MHz DSS has better range (really weird) and less interference with my 2.4G wireless router than my 2.4GHz "Gigarange" DSS.

They do if you happen to live in a miniature valley and cell phone reception sucks 🙂 I'm still waiting desperately for a VOIP service to come here so that I can ditch Hellsouth and forget this landline nonsense for good.

hehehehe, i think you hit upon something quite big here!

sure. i like the idea of being able to dial 911 and having it answered in my area right away without being dropped🙂 cell 911 goes through transfers and a whole mess.

and btw dual handset 2.4ghz phone for 20 bux in hotdeals😉

I have one for a few reasons -- I have DSL now instead of cable, I wanted to be able to get NFL Sunday Ticket + use my DirecTivo without nag screens and my home office has almost no cell reception.

Plus I saw a deal for a 5.8ghz AT&T cordless and couldn't resist.
