The people that think she's awful are all anti-asian. She is a good singer, just she's not maturing enough in the competition - she's shaky in some parts, a lil pitchy in others. Randy and Simon's comments were right on the money - she is good, but she's trying to bring her college hoops game to the NBA and it's just not working.

she is hawaiian by residency, but filipino by ethnicity

sometimes filipino is grouped along with Asians, sometimes its grouped along with Pacific Islander or just Filipino on its own. either way, she isnt native hawaiian

Fantasia... NOOOOOOOOOOO. I still stick by my original stance that the current set of people on AI are all not that great when it comes to singing. This group is much MUCH less talented than the previous seasons.

Blah. There is no variety left now with George gone. If anyone but Latoya wins I doubt I'll tune in past the pre-lims next year.

Diana is still too Mickey Mouse, Jasmine just isn't as strong vocally (and her always-smiling personality strikes me as faked), and Fantasia just annoys me in every way possible.

I'm a big fan of the Fantasia. I'd be happy if La Toya won, though.

Fantasia kinda reminds me of Clay; not in terms of vocal quality or anything, but every year there has been a situation where there's one contestant that everyone either really loves or really hates.

I was never very fond of any of the guys this year... George was better than the Johns, but I still thought he was kinda blah. Diana just annoys me. She reminds me too much of Celine Dion /shudder.

Jasmine is cute, but her voice / stage presence isn't as good as Fantasia's or La Toya's.

You knowing who I was talking about substatiates that my statement was not racially motivated....there are two Black women left......and La Toya is not only beautiful and classy, she can sing better than any of the other ones IMHO.
