I'm looking to buy one for my new rig I'm putting together in the next few weeks. It'll be going in the P180, so I'm also wondering about the knobs on the fan controller and the P180's door in the front - will it close with the knobs? I'm using 2 120mm fans for the rear and top fans, a panaflo near the HDD's, and a 120x25mm Coolermaster fan in the bottom chamber. I bought 120x25mm for more space for the PSU wires (PC P&C SLI). I'm just wondering what the best one is, and what kind of cool things they read now on (if any) the LCD Display.....Never have bought a fan controller. looking for some ideas/input

Even though the price is high, im using an AeroCool GateWatch fan controller........... 4 speed controller temp monitor (x4)..........plus it looks kick ass

Damn, I really don't want to spend 50 bucks on a fan controller, although that would definetly fit behind the P180 door when it's closed 😉

Sunbeam Rheobus. Knobs go smoothly from 0 - 12V, and click off. The LEDs shift from red to blue at 7V. They are exceptionally bright, and I think that they are actually overdriven, so they will dim in time. Two of them have actually burned out on me - the blue part no longer works. I don't know actually if it's the LED or the accompanying circuitry. But the thing still does the job it was meant for.

OP, Xoxide.com may still have Sunbeams @ $7.25. It has four rheostats that each support
20 watts. Multipal fans can be hooked up if need be. The volt reduction with this unit is not done by PWM(that may cause clicking fans). SVC is blowing out Sunbeam iirc.

Love2skate, break-out the soldering iron and 1/4" drill. Make your own for<$5.00.
allelectronics.com has decent quality DPDT switches, I just bought 10 for $10.50, these are on-on type but on-off-on can be had. Drill 4 holes in the 3.5" to mount the micro switches.
Set them up as 5v-12v or a resister can be added to the 12v line to bring it down to 10v.

The wiring for this is quite simple. It can be found at silentpcreview.com at the left under Fans and Controlls.

I have purchased from both the former and was pleased with the service/packaging.
