After watching their interviews last night I hope Fantasia wins. I'm not a huge fan of her but at least she was fun during her interview and comfortable. Jasmine seemed so nervous, scared and boring (although she is by far the cutest). Diana annoyed the crap out of me after 2 minutes of listening to her babble on and giggle. I choose the least of 3 evils.
 
it's funny how the judges clearly wanted so *badly* to have jasmine booted out and diana vs. fantasia in the final two.

don't get me wrong, i also wanted the same thing (actually i was predicting latoya vs diana but of course that won't happen), i just think it's funny that the show was getting so much backlash for the past few weeks because 'america got it wrong'. 'america' got it wrong and 'america' was angry to the judges, contestants, and the voting system? 'america' should blame itself... hahah..

it would be funnier if jasmine stays for the final two. not likely, but it could actually happen... who knows...
 
I like upsets, I'm voting jasmine all the way. She's not really that bad or anything and I like her personality a lot better than the other two girls. I could imagine her more as a pop star than either of the other two.

oh yeah and she's hott.

Ignoring the other things you said for the moment, you do realize Jasmine's on-camera all-smiles personality is totally fake, right? Not that Diana is any less fake. Her mickey mouse crap really irritates me.

Ugh, actually all of their personalities suck. That's why I stopped watching after last week. I will never even consider buying one of their CDs, and I will change the station whenever one of their crappy songs comes on (just as I do with Clay Aiken).

it's too bad you never actually met someone sincere in your life. thats why you are probably making that comment about the fake personality. most filipina women have that type of charming personality that ppl who know them love

Right. Did you happen to notice the grin that Jasmine had on her face when Latoya was getting voted off the show? It wasn't the same one she has when she's smiling for the camera and saying "awwwww thank you" for a compliment on her singing (which happens very infrequently, appropriately), it was actually genuine.

Don't give me stereotypical nonsense about "filipina" women.

You honestly think that she's like that in real life? Last week she was bawling and sad until she thought the cameras were off her and she had the smuggest sh1t-eating grin I've *ever* seen after Latoya was booted. Everytime they ask her about the pressure of the competition, "it's all about having fun" or some rehearsed bit about how it's tough to do the show along w/ school. If Jasmine's personality is charming, Diana's must be positively magnetic.

As far as the performances go, Jasmine was pretty bad until the last song, which had a few moments here and there. I was amused at how everyone, even Paula, seemed to be giving her back-handed compliments if not flat-out jeers.

Fantasia was okay, but she seemed to be channeling Jennifer Hudson with the shouting. I think she's convinced that she's got it in the bag at this point, meanwhile Diana gave the best performance of the night at the very end (which redeemed her earlier two performances that epitomized her typical only-good-when-its-loud talent).

Diana impressed me. I've hated her for a long time, but at this point, I'd be ok with her winning.
Jasmine was pretty bad. She was good in the begining, but either everyone else has gotten better or she's gotten worse.
Fantasia was great. Still hoping she wins it 🙂

CLIVE DAVIS! yes the king of arista, he who found whitney houston, alicia keys, aretha, on and on...

jasmine: "saving all my love" was cute. she still can't hit a low note. it was cute though. "mr melody" (i think that's the name) i thought could have been better, i was waiting for her to break out with something. and i can't remember her third song, but once again, it was cute.

side note: i really like clive davis. he WILL tell you if you suck. that's his job. "sorry stop wasting my time."

fantasia: i can't remember the names of the songs she sang. i remember she did greatest love of all, which i thought was excellent and you know she believed in it. of the three left, she is undeniably the most talented and yes, DIFFERENT. all three performances were on and excellent.

diana: man, those first two were horrible. i didn't like the third one but apparently everyone else did so they heard something i didn't. i was distracted by her pants that got chewed up by a lawnmower or weed whacker... i was also distracted by her yelling. she keeps yelling! she needs to stop and sing! not yell! i can yell! she can't! she shouldn't!

it's hard to tell who'll get booted, but i'm guessing jasmine will go. fantasia SHOULD win. she better. she is the best left. i think in time, her voice will mature, since it still sounds pretty young. jasmine should sound good in the future once she gets some vocal lessons - she still can't hit the low notes. diana you can tell she's been doing this so long and the screaming is getting to me...

Seconded. He was honest and had a pretty good song selection for them. Tarantino's mannerisms make him a semi-distant second. It's refreshing to have someone who actually makes a living from analyzing talent as a judge.
