Thats the problem with corporate America. They do not blink twice to give a mediocre CEO a 25 million dollar bonus. But will try a Nickle and dime a valued employee over a few thousand bucks.

just sold my soul to the devil.

Now they own you. :D

At least you got a figure you want and work at a place that wants you. If nothing else you can subsist on that for a while until a higher position opens up or you've have had enough of the place.

So, most importantly, what's for dinner to celebrate? :awe:

grats

did you consider future monetary growth potential?

your now supervisor role in finance likely has a much higher ceiling than your past IT role

Probably taking the wifey out to sushi, but we'll see; up to her. Been working crazy hours and haven't had a chance to take her out.

Yes I did, I actually consider IT to have higher monetary potential, but it's a lot easier to get management experience in Finance which will put me in a better position to jump back into IT (imo), esp. since my new role supervises onshore/offshore resources.

If you were happy with the final terms then good for you, but sounds like you might just take the next best opportunity.

I will take the next best opportunity, in 2-3 years when this next project is over.

Whether that "next best" is within the same company or another company, we'll see when we get there :)
