5.1 ultra used with HT reciever or with decoder

I got a set of 5.1 ultras as a gift and i just bought a set for myself and its too late to cancel my order. So im gonna use them as ht speakers. How do i connect the subwoofer to a HT reciever. I assume I would have to buy some kind of adaptor, but would i loose any sound quality or responce. Or the other choice would be to buy the creative audio decorder which they have at newegg here. I basically would just have my xbox hooked up to play dvds and games.

I haven't seen the Creative device up close but I'm almost certain you could go either route... If the HT Receiver you have only has sub pre outs then you would lose the the Ultra high end amperage and hook up the sats via the receiver. That's the way I would go short of selling the Ultra's and getting home speakers as there is no sense in spending the extra $'s for something the HT receiver would do.
