5.1 Speakers - Center Speaker very Static-ky

I just bought the Creative SBS 560 5.1 Speaker system, and I have an old Creative Live Blaster soundcard. It has Line Out for Front speakers, Line Out for Rear speakers, and a digital out port. I plugged the center speaker in the digital out port, but it's very very static-ky that I'd have to unplug it. The sound quality is so horrible from the center speaker - anyone know why? I've already d/led the lastest update.

Bump because i have the same problem with my SB Live! Value card as well.

BUMP BECAUSE WE WANT ANSWERS!!!!!!

I assume you mean sound blaster live card.
"Line Out for Rear speakers, and a digital out port. I plugged the center speaker in the digital out port"
What you call the digital out is also analog out for subwoofer and center. This should work on your speakers as long as the software is disabled for digital out.
creative software can be a nightmare to install and use.
can you be more specific as to your center sub connection. What does the 1/8 plug look like?

i have the same issue, but i am using a Dell 5.1 speaker system. I plug the center/subwoofer into the digital out, and it gets staticy like no tomorrow. there is even a very distict BUZZ when you turn the speakers up in this condition. I know its not the hardware, since I somehow got it to work a while ago.

unless you are hooking the speakers up to some sort of amplifier there should be nothing going into a digital out. Only analog

there should be 3 mini jacks for analog out

there is 1 that is Right and Left
Another that is center an sub
and another that is surround right/left

The digital out, if there is one, should not be use unless you have a decoder to send it to
