I'm really excited. I just ordered a 4x4 cube, and I was wondering if anybody knows how to solve it...don't tell me how...I'm just curious if anyone can...
I have a friend that's really into these. He solved a 5x5, and can solve one every time give enough time.
If you really want a challenge, you should look into the non-cube "cubes" (I guess puzzles is a better term.). This friend claims the good ones are harder than the 5x5.
<< It's called a flat-tip screwdriver and getting that one piece out of the damn thing. Then I can solve any one of them, no problem. >>
i use the nail file in my SwissCard thats i keep in my wallet...1 minute flat and i got it fixed...its more fun to put it back together with 2 pieces swapped and them mix it up and try to have someone solve it who knows how to do it...then watch as they work and work and then it finally dawns on them its rigged...haha
If you've taken algebra/geometry/trig, you can solve a rubix cube pretty easily..
I know an expert on the 3x3 and 4x4's, he's never tried a 5x5 though... He can do anything with it, without any thought
I hate Rubik's cubes. I hate math. Which is probably why Rubik's cubes annoy me so much. I can never ever figure them out, or any type of puzzle liek that. (anyone remember the tree puzzles in the game Black and White? I solved the first one after 45 minutes through sheer luck, and got so fed up at the second one that I uninstalled the game)

oh man. you ARE dumb! lol. my goldfish flopping around on the table could probably solve it faster

Bought one like 15 years ago when it came out. Adapted the solution used with the 3x3 cubic and can usually solve it in about 5 minutes. I also got the book on how to solve it. My 4x4 is kept somewhere in my garage. I have the 3x3 in my computer desk right now & average about 75 seconds to solve this. World record is about 25 seconds.
