4x256ddr or 2x512ddr?

4x256 ddr 400 runs more efficient and better or 2 x 512 ddr 400????

Also, I heard Corsair XMS is the best ddr out there, is it only better when overclocking? or regular speed when compared with regular type ddr 400?

Are you trying to run dual channel? 512 meg sticks would probably be better in either case, because they will be more useful if you decide to upgrade soon, or if you plan to sell them later.

yea dual channels , im planning to buy a 875 chipset board , probably one from Asus P4C800.
So you said 2x512 ddr 400 sticks are better than 4x256ddr 400 sticks? Im not planning to upgrade for more than 1G of ram
What I was asking is which config runs more efficient???
