But... but... I like waiting at the traffic lights and revving (burning $3.75 each time I rev)

I have to agree though. While I like the sensation of flooring it and feeling the acceleration of a 5000 lbs monstrosity hurtling down the road, 14mpg does kinda suck. I guess it's a good thing my commute is 5 miles 😛

If my commute was 5 miles I'd ride my bicycle to work every day. Hell, when it was 9+ miles I rode my bike 2-3 days a week. Commuting on bicycle is awesome, I was in the best shape of my life.

That's really good. Wanna hear something crazy? The second month average for my 12C Spider, the first month I drove like a tool and killed all hope of economy, was 22.8MPG. Considering what it is, that's nuts. 😱

That's actually pretty outstanding for a 600+ HP car. Are you still getting that sort of mileage?

:hmm: I'll never understand why some guys commute to work in a fullsize truck that gets 15mpg. I hate spending money on gasoline. It's just a complete waste of money. Turning money into CO2 and smog. Weee!!!

I commute 300 miles a week and only fill up every other week.

It's all about looking like a MAN, bro. :awe::colbert:

Who are you trying to impress? Camry drivers? It ain't workin' bro. :awe:

I impress my wife in the bedroom and by bringing home the paycheck. She's about as impressed by trucks as she is by what color socks you're wearing.

Sure is, I'm blown away by it.

I need to see pics with a username sign next to it before I believe he's driving a Ferrari.

What Ferrari? I never said anything about a Ferrari. 😕

Yep. From the McLaren event in Feb when I went and picked it up.

Anyhow, great gas mileage, sometimes 25-26 if I keep my foot out of it.

Gee, maybe I bought the wrong car...

I wasn't making any judgements. I think everyone should buy a supercar (or at least drive one around for ~ a month). It's a real ass-puckering experience.

Are you extending an offer?

Closest I've come to that is a Lotus Elise I rented for 4 days a few years ago. That car is like a street legal go kart.

Looking at those pics you posted it looks like you are in Newport Beach or Los Angeles (Beverly Hills area)? Hell, I'd come up just for a ride along as a passenger. 😉

Florida, actually, West Palm Beach. I was unseasonably cold out (in the 50s all day).

I love the Lotus Elise, and it's a hell of a value, especially used.

Yeah, I'd love to own one but we don't have room for another car. I have a bike anyway so that keeps me sane and fills my need for speed.

I'm in San Diego. Roads are hell of a lot more fun here than Florida. 😉

I live in the mountains of western N Carolina, so I have lots of great twisty roads to enjoy.
