Drives always can vary batch to batch. That is why it is best to avoid buying multiple drives for a RAID array from the same vendor at the same time.

Generally this is one of the best 4tb consumer drives period. It is probably a poor choice for many (in most cases a WD Red or Hitachi drive are a better value), but for those who need speed this is it.

I bought one last time this deal was on and its the best HD I have ever had. It gave me a slight speed boost past the Hitachi it replaced.
