Just saw this early on today..

The upload is the big plus, but 500K a sec is just beautiful..

For $40 bucs a month, NO ONE else in phoenix can compete..

😀

Cox has actually been pretty damn good as of late ( Phoenix )

Big ups to them

PicS!

You should also have 5Mb/768kb available to you for an additional charge as well. At least that's the plan in my part of the country for Cox (New England).

It is, and i believe that reevaluated their pricing..

No only $55 a month..

5/768 is not shabby at all..

🙂

Can't be upping for hours on end though.. they'll cap ya. Experience it yet ?

not yet. *holds breath and waits for FBI agents to come bursting though my windows*

Ok, so I didn't get some screwed up account all of a sudden then (I noticed it last night when uploading some files and the speed was more than 2x what I used to have). It figures, we get ready to move to a place where Cox doesn't have service yet, and they finally give us some decent bandwith... 🙁

I'm in one of 3 markets where Cox didn't upgrade 🙁 (Gainesville, FL) Still stuck on 1.5Mbit/128K for $40/mo

The other broadband alternative (BellSouth DSL) is so bad I guess Cox didn't feel the need to compete here. They probably thought a town full of college kids would still sucker into paying higher prices. Grr.

Must be nice. I am stuck with dial-up @ 44Kbps right now. DSL is an option but not worth it when it is $35 for 256/128. Word is that Verizon DSL just became available in the area though. 🙂

Cox just went to 3mbps earlier this year, I'd pay a few bucks more for 4 to 6 plus 512 up

If anyone does full burst for more then 15min, they'll be capped to 150kbps!!! buhahahahahhah.

too bad you don't live here. In parts of Sacramento, Surewest offers fiber connections that are basically 10Mb/s up and down. Not bad for home use. They package the internet, cable, and phone for $100/month or you can get it seperately. I did the cable and internet for 80/month, which is quite a steal.
