4K video stuttering

I downloaded a few 4k video samples to my htpc and played them with mpc-hc. About every 5 seconds or so it will stutter for a bit. Other than that it looks gorgeous on the panny plasma.

Can I assume the HD 5750 is incapable of fully accelerating 4k video for smooth playback? DXVA is on in mpc-hc.

HD 5750 should not be the problem. Uninstall Media Player Classic. It is known to stutter. You will need a higher-end playback software. Elecard MPEG Player is what I recommend. It has the smoothest playback man has ever created. But then the ones I use is several years old. I don't know how the newer versions will behave, but may work great with the latest hardware.
