4GB on Vista Ultimate 32bit = problems?

Ever since installing 4GB on my Vista 32bit system (i know about the addressing limit) many programs have stopped working properly.

Namely AIM, Joost, Eve Online, and Windows Update.

I have tried the "increaseuserva" command (at 3200MB) and it has not fixed any of the issues.

It appears to be related to a network driver acting up with 4GB installed, however my mapped network drivers, and everything that uses port 80 appear to be working just fine.

Any advice on how to get everything running smoothly? Or am i looking at a Vista Ultimate 64bit upgrade?
 
To be clear about the programs that arent working:

They are not crashing to desktop, all of the fail to connect or crash with network related errors. AIM in particular just cant connect at all, it times out.

Try to disable these switches. I used the /3GB in boot.ini, and it caused some weird crashes of Far Cry.

Well, good luck with all the drivers!

And I am not trying to be sarchastic, I don't know your applications.

I just value my games like Far Cry and Quake 4, and would not just drop them for a 64-bit OS.

I dont run a creative product 😉

Nvidias drivers for vista and vista64 have vastly improved over the last 60 days.
