Hi,

I ordered PC2-5300 (DDR2-667) sticks. Would these work also with AM2 boards that support DDR2 800?

Thank you,
gard

Recieved mine 6/28 and was ordered on 6/22.

Has anyone dealt with the Puerto Rico HP rebate center that can say it's all good?

Is it just me or does there stock just keep increasing? When I ordered they only had 263 in-stock.

should i get this or the 2gig crucial ballistix for $63? i'm planning to use this for q6600 system next month

edit: xp32bit won't recognize 4gb 🙁, too bad can't use the extra 2 gig as mem drive

I got 5 sticks and they're all D9HNL's. Pretty good RAM for the price, it overclocked to DDR800 @ 5-6-6-16 with only 1.8V, using Auto-SPD and simple FSB bump. Looks like these are reverse D9, where they perform well with stock voltage and has no gains with increased voltage.

GREAT DEAL!

Rats! Samsung. Maybe I'll use them with a Q6600 and GIGABYTE GA-G33M-DS2R at stock speeds and upgrade the RAM later for OC'ing.

Got 2 sticks 6/29. Lotsa stock when I ordered, but didn't ship for a few day. 9 days delivery. Thats OK.

At this price, anything that works is fine, but I did get the D9HNL's.

Even with PR of Calif tax, $20.05 a stick. I need an excuse to buy 2 more.
BTW, this company in Erie, Pa ships out out of Illinois and charges Ca tax. ??? Reciprocal tax agreements ?

If they have a physical presence in CA they must charge CA sales tax. They don't have to deal with you in any way within CA, merely have some property there under the business's name. Besides it's rare to find a tech company without ties to CA.

I ordered 5 sticks and only got 4. Two qs:

1. This happen to anybody else?

2. Come to think of it, what use is the 5th stick--do some MBs have 5 slots?

Price drop: now $14 AR each.</end quote></div>

where?

It showed up as $54 for me last night. I just looked now, and its back to $55.99. Must have been a temporary drop, or some other glitch. Anyway, back to $15.99 AR 🙁

Yes the Micron chip ram is single sided.

AMD was right,
sticking with the DDR2 memory really is good for the consumer.

Got mine today from PC Superstore. Got 4GB, all are Micron D9HNL</end quote></div>

Same here... got my sticks and all are Micron D9HNL.

All different S/C numbers, though.

Speaking of overclocking to PC-6400 levels, anything special I should need to do?

I found it odd that the rebate form provided a phone number and email but not a website to check the status so I looked for an offical HP rebate status website and found the one listed below. For those who ordered and sent their rebate in early, can you check to see if your rebate is listed and let us know.

"Submission not found" sent it on 6/10

Just bought 5 sticks.

5x $55.99 = $279.95
Tax (CA) = $20.30 <-------DAMN CA TAX!!!!! 😛
Total = $300.25

Rebate =-$200.00
Net Total = $100.25

Price per stick = $100.25 / 5 = $20.05 😀

I uploaded the rebate here - Link 🙂

The thing is, ddr1 isn't being made in new, smaller process generations (is the voltage spec too high for newer processes?) so the move to ddr2 was inevitable.
