4g Sim card question

My verizon droid charge, has a 4g sim card in it, I also have an unlimited 4g plan. Could I take that card and put it into some other device like a tablet that has 4g, and get 4g on it, would it even fit? I know I could make my phone a wireless hot spot, but I'd like to just use the card.
 
I tried this and it didn't work. It has the SIM Card, but most of the Verizon devices also have a regular CDMA chip in them and that requires authentication with Verizon's servers for activation.
