Though I think they'd hurt RIAA and MPAA more if they DDOS'd sites that sell legal music and movie downloads.

I don't get why 4chan gets a bad reputation. They are a beacon of freedom on the internet.

That's how I see it. 4chan's the asshole of the internet, but like everything else, we need an asshole to function properly. I'm glad they're here.

Is it really appropriate to say "4chan did _____" when it is only a small subset of its users (along with non-4chan people) doing these kind of attacks?

I'm starting to think this myself... especially as I read more about this specific case. From what I read it was TPB that sparked this one.

404 - sympathy not found. As far as I'm concerned they can ddos anything associated with the the RIAA and MPAA permanently and I won't have any problem with it.....

hey all,

How do we get people to pay money for content like a movie?

Sell it at a good price, in a format people want, without DRM. There will always be piracy, so there's no point in worrying about that. Take care of your customers, and they'll take care of you.

AND - listen closely cause this is the important part - make the content WORTH PAYING FOR. I won't even pirate a shitty movie, what makes you think I'd pay for it?

edit: go #team4chan! Too bad they can't figure out how to ddos MPAA/RIAA executives' lives.
