Siamskunk - LOL I feel the same way buddy, sorry! It's not me honestly it's this illness we all have.

After buying my $2,000 Dell Dimension 4100/866 with 19" Dell P991 Trinitron monitor back in October, combined with last week's 256MB PC100 Buy.com DOTD and $215 ReplayTV through Mercata I'm asking myself, "what was going through my head?". Of course I was thinking, it was the illness which compelled me to buy all this stuff I don't need!

I'm so tempted to buy this also, I would in a heart beat if it weren't for the shipping but it's still a good deal. Yes this isn't Mushkin PC133 but it's still decent RAM at a great price.

paths - If I or anyone else finds a Buy.com RAM link then we'll be sure to post it here. That would be super sweet with a coupon, eBates and free shipping.

Hurry and join DealAddictsAnonymous or is it to late???

Nice find Ross MAN.

I'm trump tight on PC100 right now for all of my project boxes. Let's see:

2x128 Crucial in current box
1x256 Mushkin on shelf from mushkin. Works great on a Gigabyte Mobo I have here. Waitin' on a drive.
2x128 Kingston on shelf from a buy.com deal
1x256 Kingston enroute from last buy.com deal.
1x64 Kingston enroute from egghead.

Awwww heck, why not.........

Siamskunk - Yeah the DealAddictsAnonymous thread cracks me up but it also serves a very serious purpose as well.

burnedout - Thanks, I'm almost as bad as you are. Perhaps more so since I bought 128MB PC100 Kingston ValueRAM for $64.99 after rebate from OM a few months ago, last week's 256MB PC100 Kingston ValueRAM for $95 from Buy.com DOTD and I might even buy this one as well. Wanna know what really hurts (or is stupid)? My system can only use PC133 RAM and I already have 256MB PC133. LOL!

Just wait until RAM prices sky rocket again, then, just maybe I'll think I was marginally sane for buying so much damned RAM. I wonder how much these go for on eGay?

That's truthfully a very good strategy you just mentioned. As you have probably noted in the past, memory is like a commodity. Up and down. I picked up some memory earlier in the year when prices across the board tanked, only to wait and turn it over for double what I paid. Sort of the same principle as going "long" on stock investments.

I put together about a box a week nowadays. Mainly for friends/coworkers. Therefore, I'm always looking at deals on core parts. And finally getting around to earning the MCSE and Linux certs. So it's good to have two or three extra boxes juiced up with memory. DIMMs are cheaper than comparable SIMMs.

Except for two occasions of blatant mispricing by Egghead, I've had excellent luck with them. They always delivered on everything else I ordered.

Just get same memory except that it is PC133 from Overstock overnighted for the same price :) My chip had Infineon chips on it.

Toshiba? TOSHIBA! Don't you remember? They sold "silent" submarine engines to the Soviet Union in the 1980's!!! If I ever come accross a Toshiba chip in my motherboard, I take the only acceptable patriotic soltion and rip those chips out with vise grips and ship them back to Japan!

Other than that, however, they are very good chips. However, if the Great Bear ever rises again, you may hide your dimm slots in shame!

Toshiba memory isn't too bad. Decent I would say. You could save yourself some money and go with generics, but thats a risk you'll have to decide for yourself. Couple years back, that was a bit risky, nowadays, generics aren't too bad. But for $49.99 Kingston...I'd say good buy.

Just wait until you DRAM addicts start receiving your rebate checks in the mail. Guess what cycle will start again then?

We can get the PC133 Kingston ValueRAM at $49.99 after rebate at outpost.com with overnight shipping?
I just got it 10 minutes ago.

Why I should buy from Egghead.com then?
I'm one of the wounded RAM children.

I agree.. I would go with the PC133's.

But, I hate rebates. What's the best deal going on PC133 RAM w/o rebates?
